Air Conditioning of Arizona

I had this company install an air conditioning unit, it was not strapped down properly and caused heavy water damage to my home including breaking through a ceiling. When I brought this to the company's attention they offered to have it repaired. I found out their repairman actually worked in another industry and did repair work on the side, so I went through my insurance to get it professionally done. Now ACA has claimed to my insurance company it is not their fault to escape liability. Absolutely awful behavior and customers should know that if they damage your home they will try to weasel their way out instead of correctly handling it. Edit in response to the owner: No one else accessed the attic, only your workers. Your worker stated it was not strapped down properly and vibrated out of place causing the damage. You did not try to fix this in good faith and your efforts were not misrepresented here.

The office staff is friendly and helpful. Phone calls are returned promptly. The service men, Aiden and Josh diagnosed the problem correctly and resolved it within two days as they got the needed part quickly. It was a pressure switch problem that we had for a couple of years that wasn’t resolved but our former service company. It is a relief to have it fixed so the heat comes on as it should.

I found Air Conditioning of Arizona on the Trane website looking for alternative bids to replace an old HVAC system on our house. My experience with Air Conditioning of Arizona was outstanding from my first phone call through the installation of a Trane Platinum XV20 system. Office staff Lisa and Samantha were courteous, professional, and thorough in answering my questions. Field project leader, Bart, made multiple visits to ensure we were getting our desired system with proper components with all available discounts. Field installation experts Corey, Ivan, and Phil did an outstanding job of fitting the new system to existing ductwork, new power supply, refrigerant line set, system controller, and Trane Smart Link thermostat. They did a great job of removing the old system, installing the new system, cleaning the areas where work was performed. Corey also provided excellent training on the user interface of the new system and thermostat. Air Conditioning of Arizona is now our go to HVAC Contractor!

I had a 5-ton and 4-ton unit replaced by ACA in Oct '25. I received estimates from a total of 8 top-rated Trane dealers and I'm sure any of them would have done a good job. I chose ACA because Troy did not tell me what I wanted to hear, he told me what he would do if it was his house: unlike all the others. I ended up getting both units replaced at the same time because of his advice and I'm glad I did. Another example: I explained that two of the top floor bedrooms were always warm. The other companies recommended another air intake in the common area...near those bedrooms. Troy asked how that would help when the bedroom doors were shut...it wouldn't lol. He, instead proposed putting small air intakes in each bedroom and enlarging the ductwork for cool air entering the room. This solution has fixed the problem completely. The installation team led by Phil was fantastic. The three-man team was super professional. They showed up a little early each morning to be ready and worked their tails off 3 days in a row. They were willing to change the pad installation after it was done, when I asked them to. To top things off, ACA was the lowest-cost quote I received. If you want a team that is knowledgeable, innovative, hard-working, and humble, ACA is a great choice.

ACA has been servicing our equipment for a few years now and they are friendly, punctual and honest. Glen came to the house this time and he was great. Thanks Glen and the whole ACA team. It’s refreshing to see a well run business.

We had ACA out to look at some older ac units that were having some problems and a fan that would not turn off. Other companies told us it can’t be fixed and it’s time to replace. Bryan, Charles and Glenn were so amazing to deal with. Bryan brainstormed and found what was wrong, replaced one part that was faulty. I highly recommend these guys, don’t go anywhere else! Bryan and Charles did a fine job performing the semi-annual performance checkup. They arrived on time and completed their work in a timely manner. They were neat, clean, friendly and courteous.

From out first phone call with Bart where he assisted us with such helpful advise, to his visit to our home providing a very fair quote for a new two zone air conditioning system, to their great installation team and office staff, we were extremely satisfied. They were on time, courteous, hard working, communicated well and made sure we were 100% happy with the result. The Air Conditioning of Arizona team were extremely professional and did a great job fixing our issue in the attic. Aiden and Phil are not only attentive to their work, I liked how they took pictures and explained what our problem was and why we needed to fix it. We felt like they cared!

The promptness and good communication is what I’ve come to expect with ACA. Glenn, the service tech called me when on his way and gave me an overview of what he observed and tested when done- even washed down the evaporator coil! I highly recommend them, and will continue to have them do maintenance checks routinely.

They were prompt and did great work. Phil, Corey, and Ivan were professional and kept me apprised of the status of my AC replacement at all times. Got a good price on a new Trane system that was thousands less than other competitors.

ACA is fantastic! They do a great job, very thorough and professional. I also find their pricing to be competitive and they do not try to upsell you. I highly recommend them.

Technicians have been very professional and have not tried to oversell us on anything unnecessary since we have been using them. They take great care of us which we appreciate. They were able to get our motor for the AC unit replaced during the summer which is so important here.

Disappointed!!! The contractor is a costly one for sure. In addition, the representative looked inexperienced or deceptive. The estimate given was to refill 3.5 pounds of r22 ( for about $375 per pound way higher than the product itself). However, when it was time to refill, the requirement shot up to about 8 pounds. Basically, saying I estimated for 3.5 pounds, have already filled ip 5 pounds and your system needs 8 pounds probably. So pay for the 8 pounds for me to continue or else pay for 5 pounds. Based on the “expert” advise i secured a budget but ended up paying 1.5 times that without resolving anything. I am certain that this contractor cannot be trusted…

This is my 2nd year using our original installer for ongoing service. The thoroughness, including numerous pictures to reveal what’s both good and not so good, were confidence building. The service representative, Jacob Ramirez, was exceptional in his desire to help me understand the needs of my 3 units. He spent the necessary time with me to patiently answer all of my questions. How refreshing it was to meet someone who was eager to be of service!!!

I called ACA to determine why our A/C unit was dead as a door nail. We had another company look at it and could not repair it. 😱 Jacob R. came out quickly and ran some tests and figured out the problem. He was able to get it running again for us. He was knowledgeable, efficient and was careful to leave our home in pristine condition. I highly recommend ACA and will call them again!! Joanne W.

I had my rooftop AC unit quit operating. I called at lunch and they dispatched a tech about an hour later. He made the unit operational in only a few minutes. He stayed onsite about another hour doing an extensive analysis. He pulled a hose and washed the coils. He checked function of all components on the unit. He could not of done a better job. I was happy enough to get the unit operating. What he did afterwards will make me a customer for life. Technicians name was Aiden.

I want to share the great experience I had with Jacob and Bryan of Air Conditioning of Arizona. Jacob came to perform routine maintenance on my HVAC system. He was personable, knowledgeable and very professional. He made sure to clean up after himself, which really impressed me. The next day he came back with Bryan for another service I wanted done. They were both great and completed the job very quickly. Again, they made sure to clean up after themselves. They took the time to explain what they had done and to answer all of my questions. I have had service by Phil who did maintenance on my heater last week. And Corey and Ivan cleaned my ductwork yesterday. Very happy with both services. This company put in my air conditioning/heater unit and they are great!

Phil from Air Conditioning of Arizona did heating maintenance on my Trane XV18 heat pumps in Scottsdale, and the service was excellent. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough—explaining everything, sending progress videos, and including photos in the final report. Both systems were running perfectly when he finished. I’ve been using Air Conditioning of Arizona in Scottsdale for over 8 years. They installed my Trane systems and later a mini-split in my garage, and every technician has been outstanding. Phil absolutely continued their reputation for reliable, honest, and high-quality HVAC service. If you need expert HVAC service in Scottsdale, I highly recommend Air Conditioning of Arizona.

Update 3/3/25: Our unit has been running beautifully without a single issue. We had ACA out today to do the first check up on the unit after our install last year. Jacob Ramirez was our field expert and he was great. Called me beforehand to let me know when he would arrive, arrived at the time he said he would, and was extremely friendly and professional. He did a complete inspection of the system and did so in a timely manner. Everything checked out as expected. Very happy with our unit and with our field expert, Jacob! February 2024: We've been needing to get our 13 year old A/C unit replaced for the better part of a year but have been holding out due to the price and size of a job it is. We decided before summer hit this year, lets get it done. We called a total of three different highly rated A/C companies, ACA being one. Brent came out, did a good thorough inspection of our unit and the house and discussed what he found and what he recommended for us. He gave us 3 different quotes on 3 different levels of units. Surprisingly, the top tier Trane unit he recommended was still a lower price than the lowest level ones from their competitors. They also worked in a few discounts for me. What I really liked was that during the inspection Brent noticed that the return duct we had was a little smaller than what was required for a 5 ton unit. While the competitors pointed this out as well, Brent was the only one that recommended we just add an additional smaller duct to increase the CFM at a fraction of the price instead of replacing the entire duct and filter housing assembly. Additionally, ACA mentioned a few other "upgrades" we could do but they were not pushy at all when I decided to not go with them. When it came to install day, the crew showed up right at 7 AM as scheduled. Phil and Corey were my installers and they were very professional and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and were very easy to talk to. What I really appreciated was that Brent, who is the expert that gave us our quote, actually came by for the majority of the morning to help the installers and give me updates throughout the install. Although he did not need to be there, he said he didn't have any appointments that morning and wanted to make sure he was here to ensure the install was smooth for myself and his guys. All in all the crew was here for about 9 hours and it all went very smooth. The used drop clothes so my carpet stayed clean and they did a great job vacuuming up any mess and the trim they removed to install through the attic looks like it was never removed. Pulling the trigger on a new A/C unit can be very intimidating but the crew at ACA made the process as painless as possible. If you are looking for a company to take good care of you and not charge you an arm and a leg, I couldn't recommend ACA enough. Can't wait to break in this new Trane unit this summer!

UPDATED: Jacob came today for a check up on my new unit. He was on time, courteous, careful with my floors and very nice to my dogs. I really appreciated the information he gave me and the peace of mind I have knowing the AC is at its best going into our great area on the summers. As always, I love this company! UPDATED: ACA has never let us down, and today was no different. Our air went out last night and I left a message. It’s 11:48 a.m. and it’s up and running for less than $300. On a 2007 unit! JA was a fabulous tech. On time, ridiculously polite, knowledgeable and fast. Left me with all kinds of information and tips. As long as I live in AZ I’ll need cold air and as long as I need cold air I’ll call ACA. UPDATE: Just had the 2007 unit replaced. Phil, Corey and Brian did a fabulous job. They had to retrofit my prehistoric system and fix all the crazy ductwork. Even installed a new register in a room that’s never hot or cold enough. They were super nice, efficient, CLEAN and my dogs loved them. Troy, never, ever sell this business please.

We purchased a new HVAC system from ACA in 2023 and have been very satisfied with the Trane units as well as ACA"s annual maintenance program. Today, Phil, ACA's field expert, serviced our two units. We appreciated Phil's promptness, professionalism, knowledge about our system and thoroughness. We're now ready for the winter season.

Our service rep- Chris Reagan did a great job of cleaning up and repairing our AC unit after a rodent problem. Installed a rodent kit to keep it from happening again, checked the furnace unit and even changed out our filters. We were very happy with the service.

Phil was personable, informative, & knowledgeable! He answered my questions. He wore booties into the house & took the trash w him. 😉 I appreciated his tidiness.
